Team Boat Trip: A Well-Earned Break in Falmouth

At Mike Martin Windows, we set high standards. That’s what our customers expect, and we don’t take that trust lightly. But the kind of service we’re known for doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from a team that cares, works hard, and takes real pride in what they do.

This weekend, we gave that team a well-earned break. We headed to Falmouth for a boat trip and a proper day out together. No tools, no emails, and no work talk. Although that didn’t last long once Wayne started pointing out every house along the river that he’s ever fitted windows on. Mel gave us his best Jack Sparrow impression, Luke was on standby as unofficial lifeguard, and Big Al stood up top with a solid “I see no ships.” The Cornish mizzle made an appearance, but no one really cared. The boat trip was followed by food, drinks and a relaxed evening in Falmouth town.

It was great to be joined by friends and family too. When we say we’re a family run business, it’s not just a sales pitch. It means looking after people properly and making sure everyone feels part of something, including those behind the scenes who keep everything running smoothly. We’re lucky to have a brilliant team. Fitters who take pride in their work. Sales and design staff who guide each customer with care. Surveyors who get the details right. And admin staff who keep the process moving from first enquiry to final certificate.

What has a boat trip got to do with windows, doors and home improvement? Nothing. And that was the point.

We’re proud to be Team MMWS. We’re thankful for everything our team gives, and we’ll keep finding ways to show it. We’re already looking forward to the next quarterly event.
