Is our team motivated? Why do you want to work here? What do you look for from an employer?
As a growing company, it’s vital for us to check in with our employees. It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day and assume that we’re all equally motivated and striving for the same end goal. We love our team and have enjoyed a fantastic 2022. Therefore, we have even more reason to make sure that each employee is happy, motivated, and inspired within their role. We want to know; Is there anything as a company, we could do to help our employees to perform their role efficiently and enjoyably. What motivates each employee to keep turning up! Is it just money, do you love the challenge or do you just like the coffee?
We asked all members of staff individually, “when looking for employment within a company or organisation, how important would each of the following factors be?” Pay and benefits, work/life flexibility, working conditions, the work, job security. After scoring each factor in order of importance we added them all up and the results are below.
It’s also great to hear from the team about what they actually look for in a job. It’s easy to assume it’s all about pay! Job security was the highest scorer, and we guess, is a sign of the times. Pay and benefits only scored 4th on the list with staff opting for “flexible working” and the “work itself” as more important factors. Having a team overview is fantastic and will definitely help us to direct the business in the right direction for 2023. We also recognise that each team member is an individual and although “job security” may be top of some people’s priority list, working conditions could be at the top of others.

We work in a welcoming environment, from the minute you walk in to the time you go home. The team aspect is important, work should be enjoyable, and we do all get along.
I enjoy the work. Being able to deal with lots of different customers on a variety of projects is a driver for me. Job satisfaction is key.
Location is key and working hours are important. Most of all I love the fact that “family first” is a company moto and offers me the flexibility should I need it to attend to family commitments
I’m relatively new. I was looking for a company with genuine authenticity. I needed to believe that they believed in what they were doing before I joined the team. I had a great feeling for MMWS and have no regrets.
Location is an important factor, especially with a young family. I also want to work for a business with a good reputation, I like to be proud of not only what I do, but where I work and what we represent.
